The diameter of the bolt and the smaller size of the embedment must be determined by calculation according to the actual load, seismic load or wind load. Small shelves below 2.4m hand-fed are not fixed. The concrete of the fixed shelf column foundation must be cured continuously for 28 days, and withstand the corresponding pressure, and the uneven settlement of the foundation must meet the requirements of use.

In the design of non-library shelves, attention should be paid to the separation of the shelf foundation and the building column foundation to prevent the force of the shelf structure from causing damage to the building.
