Beam type shelves, both ends of each beam must be equipped with a locking device, or provide screws and nuts to tighten, so that the beam can be stably fixed on the column, to prevent upward external force and detachment. To ensure that the beam is engaged with its locking device (or screw and nut), the normal operation of the beam lock or the fastening of the screw and nut should be checked regularly during use, and the damaged device should be replaced in time.

　　6. The column foot of the shelf column should be correctly fixed on the concrete foundation. It is necessary to clarify whether the connection between the shelf and the ground is to use embedded parts, use a secondary watering scheme, or use a chemical bolt directly connected to the ground. The diameter of the bolt and the smaller size of the embedment must be determined by calculation according to the actual load, seismic load or wind load. Small shelves below 2.4m hand-fed are not fixed. The concrete of the fixed shelf column foundation must be cured continuously for 28 days, and withstand the corresponding pressure, and the uneven settlement of the foundation must meet the requirements of use.

　　7. The settlement value of the integrated shelf foundation should be strictly controlled to ensure the normal use of the shelf structure. In the design of non-library shelves, attention should be paid to the separation of the shelf foundation and the building column foundation to prevent the force of the shelf structure from causing damage to the building.

　　8. One or more permanent signs must be set up in the eye-catching place of the shelf, the area of each sign should not be less than 2020 (cm2), and the sign should be marked with a clear font on the larger unit load (kg), the larger uniform load (kg) on each layer, and the number of unit loads allowed to be stored in each cargo box.
